How we ensure that personal data is handled responsibly and in compliance with legal standards.
The Welsh Government is committed to protecting the privacy of all Hwb users across the learning community in Wales.
The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has published important news “aimed at people who are involved in safeguarding children: at all levels, and in all sectors in the UK. Safeguarding children is everyone’s responsibility – not just practitioners in child safeguarding.” (14 September 2023)
Please read A 10 step guide to sharing information to safeguard children. This guide aims to help you feel confident about sharing information when you need to safeguard a child or young person at risk of harm, by providing assurance to organisations and practitioners across Wales that data protection is not a barrier to information sharing.
